Hello September! Pumpkin spice is on the menu, and you’re busy getting into the groove of a new school year, new sports schedules, and a new list of fall activities.

I don’t know about you, but my summer wardrobe has started to feel stale, and I’m excited to mix some fall pieces into my rotation to help refresh my look.

Below is a list of my top fashion picks for fall 2023. Use it as a guide for what to wear when the temperatures drop.

After all, fall is the perfect time to sort through items you own and re-evaluate what pieces your wardrobe is missing.

So without further ado, here is my fall 2023 fashion guide.

1. Textured Layers:

Fall is the perfect season to experiment with layering different textures.

Mix and match textures such as shearling, velvet, suede, corduroy, faux fur, or denim to create a multi-dimensional look that's as interesting to touch as it is to look at.

STYLE TIP: Try accessories made of luxe textures, such as an oversized shearling clutch, or velvet over-the-knee boots

2. Cozy Knitwear:

As the temperatures drop, it's all about staying warm and stylish.

Knit sweaters are making a major comeback this fall (especially oversized).

Whether you're rocking a classic cable knit or a trendy chunky cardigan, you'll be the epitome of comfy chic.

STYLE TIP: Layer your cozy knitwear under your leather blazer for a fall look that is on point!

3. Edgy Leather:

Leather, isn't just for biker jackets anymore.

8. The Clutch Bag:

Don't underestimate the power of accessories this fall. The' it” bag of the season is the clutch, especially a jumbo clutch.

9. Butter Yellow and/or Saffron Red:

10. Foundation Pieces:

The classics are back this season. Many designers focused on sustainable fashion by creating looks that women already have hanging in their closets.

Some call it “wearable” fashion, others refer to it as "quiet luxury.” The meaning is the same: high-quality wearable capsule wardrobe basics that can be mixed with anything in your closet to create timeless looks that can be worn for morning coffee meetings or school soccer games.

Pieces such as tailored blazers, turtleneck dresses, pencil skirts, jeans, relaxed trousers, button-down shirts, cozy sweaters and yes, t-shirts!

These are called “wearable’ pieces because they are interchangeable and can be layered with one another and effortlessly thrown together with anything else hanging in your closet.
