Fall 2026 Fashion Tips & Trends

Fall fashion is here, and this season is all about beautiful textures, updated classics and a little more drama.
Think modern tailoring, rich colors, feminine details, unexpected proportions and accessories that can instantly make an outfit feel fresh.
Here are the Fall 2026 trends I’m most excited to bring into the real world.
1. The Modern Blazer Gets a Makeover

You all know how much I love a great blazer and I'm excited to say that the blazer isn’t going anywhere! However, this fall, it’s getting more interesting.
Look for sculpted shapes, softer tailoring, defined waists and slightly unexpected proportions rather than the traditional corporate blazer. The result feels polished and powerful without looking like you’re headed to a board meeting.
My styling tips: If you already own a great blazer, don’t automatically buy another. Instead, change how you style it. Try yours over a feminine dress, belt it with relaxed denim or pair it with a skirt instead of trousers.
2. Color Is Having a Moment

After years of neutrals dominating our closets, Fall 2026 is giving us permission to have some fun!
Electric blue, royal purple, fire engine red, butter yellow and other saturated shades are making their way into everything from clothing to accessories.
My styling tips: You don’t have to commit to a head-to-toe colorful look.
A red handbag. A gorgeous blue sweater. A butter-yellow shoe. A colorful scarf.
Sometimes one great pop of color is all an outfit needs.
3. Think Texture, Texture, Texture

Fall is always a great season for texture, but this year it’s especially important.
Think satin, leather, velvet, suede, rich knits, and knit fabrics that make even a simple outfit feel luxurious. Texture is one of my favorite ways to make a wardrobe feel more expensive without necessarily spending more.
My styling tips: Try pairing contrasting textures, like a silky top with a suede bottom or a leather jacket with lacey skirt.
Feminine Details Are Back

If you’ve been waiting for fashion to feel a little more romantic, this is your season.
Florals, lace, ruffles, and draping are showing up in updated, sophisticated ways.
But we’re not talking about looking overly sweet. The trick is contrast.
My styling tips: Try a romantic blouse with straight-leg jeans, a feminine skirt with a suede jacket, or even a lace-trimmed piece with sleek boots. That’s where it starts to feel modern.
5. Play With Proportion

One of the biggest themes for Fall 2026 is unexpected proportion, think oversized jackets, cropped pieces, dramatic skirts and sculptural silhouettes.
This isn't just a trend, you should always have proportion to make any outfit more flattering.
My styling tips: Don’t make everything oversized, if you’re wearing a dramatic jacket, try balancing it with a slimmer bottom. If you’re wearing wide-leg pants, consider a more fitted or tucked-in top. It’s all about creating balance.
6. The Accessory Is the Outfit

This may be my favorite trend of all.
Fall 2026 is giving accessories a starring role: silk scarves, brooches, statement belts, charms, pearls, dramatic hats and fashion-forward eyewear are all having a moment.
And this is fantastic news if you’re trying to refresh your wardrobe without buying an entirely new one. Here, small changes can make the clothes you already own feel completely different.
My styling tips: Tie a scarf around your neck or even onto your handbag. Wear your favorite belt over a blazer. Invest in a brooch for your jacket. Try pairing a statement earring with a simple sweater.
The Return of the Slim Jean

If you’ve been living exclusively in wide-leg denim, don’t be surprised to see slimmer silhouettes making their way back.
The 2026 version isn’t the ultra-tight skinny jean of years past. Instead, we’re seeing slim, streamlined and straight silhouettes that feel more polished and wearable.
My styling tips: You don’t have to choose a side. Wide-leg + slim + straight-leg denim can all have a place in your wardrobe. The right silhouette depends on what you’re wearing with it and what makes you feel your best.
So…What Should You Actually Buy? Because not every trend is meant for everyone. The key is knowing which ones work for your lifestyle, body, wardrobe and personal style.
Remember, trends are inspiration, not a shopping list.
My styling tips: Before you buy any new pieces, ask yourself:
Can I wear it with at least three things I already own?
Does it work with my lifestyle?
Does the silhouette flatter me?
Does it feel like me?
Am I buying it because I love it or because I’m afraid of being “out of style”?
Because the goal isn’t to have the trendiest wardrobe.
It’s to have a wardrobe that makes getting dressed easier, more exciting and more confident.
