SUMMER SHOPPING GUIDE

Summer 2025 is finally here, and I’ve put together your ultimate summer shopping guide!

I've taken the time to gather everything you need for a stylish summer wardrobe so you don’t have to sweat it (😉 see what I did there??).

This season is all about self expression, with stylish items for everyone to enjoy. A welcome change from the neutral minimalism of the past.

Get ready to mix and match, layer on those colors, and let your personality shine through your wardrobe this summer!

Here’s what’s already on repeat in my wardrobe and what I’ll be styling all summer long for my clients (and probably convincing you to try too).

1. Silk Scarf Styling

Satin and printed scarves are having a moment and are set to be the key accessory of the season.

The best part about this trend is that you probably already have a scarf or two hanging in your closet!

Use your creativity when styling your scarves. Wrap one in your hair or pony tail to make beachy outfits elegant and chic or tie a scarf across your waist and wear in place of a belt to add an unexpected touch to any summer outfit.

You can even wear your scarf as a top this summer. The possibilities are endless!

How I'm Styling It: I'm tying a scarf around my go-to summer handbag to give it a seasonable facelift! Here's the scarf I'm wearing on my bag this season https://amzn.to/4kg67wc but if your in the market for a splurge, I recommend investing in this luxury scarf that can be worn as a sarong https://rstyle.me/+qfc_JPBJNc-oOGVt24cJXQ to elevate your basic black swimsuit!

  1. Key Colors This Summer

Key colors to watch for include the same favorites from spring: butter yellow, powder pink, baby blue and pops of pistachio green.

Since the summer color trends haven’t changed much from spring, you may already have these colorful items hanging in your closet.

How I’m Styling It: I'll be updating all my older summer staples by pairing them with of-the-moment colored accessories, such as these baby blue slingback heels https://rstyle.me/+vB5IOftNEEHrax9-D6SepAwith paired with my favorite linen pants.

  2. Polka Dots & Gingham Print

Polka dots have been spotted everywhere this summer (pun intended!) Gingham has also been a major pattern trend this season.

Which pattern speaks to you? Take your pick, or invest in both since they are both classic prints.

Polka dots and gingham trends can be incorporated into your wardrobe through dresses, skirts, blouses, swimsuits and even accessories like headscarves, shoes or bags.

Pair your favorite basic tank with a polka dot or gingham skirt or shorts and there you have it... your outfit is perfectly on trend this season.

The best part is that these quintessential summer patterns come in all color pallettes this season.

Whether you choose a basic black and white ensemble or any of-the-moment color combos, your outfit will be effortlessly stylish this summer.

How I'm Styling It: I'll be wearing my favorite red and white gingham dress https://amzn.to/4eOy3Xb on repeat this summer. After all, its a one-and-done look that works for most of my summer plans.

  1. Mesh & Woven Flats

Some people love them, some people hate them, but the bottom line is …mesh and woven flats have shown serious staying power.

It's the perfect option to let your toes breathe in the heat of summer while feeling a little dressier than flip flops.

The best part about this trend is that you can wear these shoes even when your overdue for your pedicure (no one will know!)

How I’m Styling It: I'm pairing this black pair of woven slides https://amzn.to/3TluEFd with my little white dress (LWD) to make it more current and to add a bit of edge to it this summer. Here is my favorite pair of mesh flats https://rstyle.me/+FIngv05TeDTpk5CaBJiaJw I'll be wearing them in place of flip flops this summer and even into the fall season!

  2. Summer Jewelry Options

This year’s jewelry options are straight from the beach, think seashells, starfish and any other nautical vibe you can image.

Bold, whimsical and statement-making, these jewelry pieces will make you feel like your on vacation all season long.

Simply pair these pieces with a basic white tank and linen pants, and you will feel instantly upgraded.

How I'm Styling It: I'm investing in this gold shell necklace https://amzn.to/4nzzfSe and this cord necklace https://amzn.to/3ToX2q4 to wear with my summertime favorites to channel the beach even when I'm not there!

  3. Laid Back Lace

When it comes to styling lace in 2025, it's all about balance.

Contrast a white lace maxi skirt or dress by pairing it with black accessories for a little bit of edge.

For something even simpler, pair a basic white tee with a black lace pencil skirt.

How I’m Styling It: I'm pairing a silk black Cami https://rstyle.me/+5dLXF-3t7ZuytX0ybu5hdA with my favorite pair of jeans https://rstyle.me/+4j_O7ZJtsU18IBQATMLBvQ to dress them up for a night out.

  4. The Perfect Summer Dress

You know the dress --the one that works for errands, lunch, beach days, and even dinner with simply a swap of shoes.

Nothing beats the feeling of slipping on the perfect summer dress. The ease of wearing it and the beauty of its one-and-done appeal are why it’s the ultimate summer piece, instantly making you feel put-together and sophisticated.

This summer’s version of the perfect dress is a minidress in the latest color trend or a playful summer pattern such as gingham or polka dots.

How I’m Styling It: I'll be wearing this brown and white polka dot minidress https://rstyle.me/+A1ec-yG0lwLbAIgYCJeUhQ on repeat this summer because I can easily dress it down with flip flops or up with strappy sandals!

  1. Effortlessly Cool Monochrome

Whether it’s head-to-toe beige, crisp white, or all black —it’s all about playing with texture, not color. It’s simple, clean, and always looks intentional.

How I’m Styling It: This white cotton vest set with white shorts https://amzn.to/45QXYea paired with a raffia bag and black mesh slides—minimalist but never boring.

Summer style should never feel forced. My advice? Pick a few trends that resonate with you and mix them into your summer wardrobe.
